Updated: Aug 25

Learning: Podcasts:

  • Attia - Peter’s Takeaways

    • More focus on facial aesthetics and having a skin care routine. Importance is quality anti-oxidant for the face. Mineral based sunscreen, not synthetic stuff that may potentially cause harm. Avoid providers with conflicts of interest. A good medical provider has the ability to say if you’re not a good candidate. Don’t do trendy things with your body. Some fillers can cause backend harm.

    • Biology of Aging - inflammation, mTOR, and oxidative stress matter. The current ability of biological clocks to predict anything is poor.

    • Women’s Sexual Health - the medical industry is still behind at providing treatment for women. Something like 4% of women have access to HRT who qualify.

    • Fertility - improve metabolic health. Men do not get enough semen analysis as a part of the work up.

    • Death - A good death is preceded by a good life.

  • Huberman - ADHD

    • Discussed the dopamine deficiency theory. Higher risk of self-medicating. Stimulants stimulate the dopamine pathway and can reduce symptom severity. Potential benefit of early treatment of symptoms as this is a neurodevelopment condition.

  • Knowledge Project - Ryan Peterson

    • Owns global logistics company. Used publicly available data to create searches. Questions the accuracy of large scale data. The importance of connecting with the right people to accelerate your career.

  • Spirit Gym - Michael Holt

    • Meditation takes work and practice. Doing something for 1 min is better than nothing for establishing the habit. Being mindless takes practice and work.
